The project will convert the gym floor (approx. 4,900 sq-ft) and the large area above the gym (approx. 3,000 sq-ft) into a facility to include: new athletic training room, small nutrition clinic, small physician's office, staff office space, teaching laboratory, and conference room. The facility will be unique in that it will function as a clinical and educational facility to be shared by Athletics, Exercise and Sport Science, and Student Health Services. The renovation will be funded primarily by contributions from Athletics and Student Affairs (student fees). Arts and Sciences/EXSS will provide regular maintenance and upkeep for the facility.
